Refer a friend: the offer you cannot complete alone
Every other promotion is an agreement between an operator and one account. A referral involves two, and asymmetrically: your reward depends on actions someone else performs, inside a deadline you do not control. That dependency is the whole mechanism, and it is the source of virtually every complaint about the category.
See the referral termsThe qualifying chain
- The existing account generates a personal link or code from the promotions area.
- The new account is created through that link. A registration completed first and connected afterwards usually does not qualify.
- The new account completes verification and a first confirmed deposit above the threshold.
- The new account produces a minimum amount of turnover within a stated period.
- Only then is the reward credited, frequently to both parties in different forms.
The chain breaks easily and it breaks silently. If your friend delays verification past the window, or deposits slightly under the minimum, no error appears anywhere — the referral simply never matures. Which is why the useful information travels in advance: minimum amount, deadline, required turnover.
The reward is usually not cash
| Recipient | Typical form | What follows from it |
|---|---|---|
| Referring account | Bonus funds | Carries its own multiplier and deadline |
| New account | Enhanced welcome offer or spins | Governed by that campaign terms |
| Both | A cap on referrals per period | There is a maximum number that will ever pay |
That first row is the detail most often skipped. A €30 reward at 25x is not €30 — it is an obligation of €750 in stakes with an uncertain outcome, calculated exactly as described under wagering requirements.
Why self-referral is found
The temptation to open a second account and refer yourself is obvious, which is why the checks in this category are the strictest of any promotion. Identity data, network address, device fingerprint and payment instrument are all matched. A detection does not simply cancel the reward: the terms permit voiding winnings and suspending both accounts, under the account integrity clause covered in the bonus terms.
There is an honest trap in the same rule. Two people living together share a network and sometimes a device. Formally they are different individuals; technically they resemble duplicate accounts. If you intend to refer someone from your own household, declare it to support beforehand rather than explaining it afterwards, when a reward is already under review.
Tracking a referral
The promotions area normally shows three states: pending, completed and expired. Pending means the new account exists but has not yet met the deposit or turnover condition. Expired is final and does not reopen, even if your friend deposits the following day. So check the state while the deadline is still running, because that is when a reminder still has value. If the display contradicts the transaction history, any support request should carry three things — registration date, deposit timestamp and the link that was used. Without those, no review can start.
What you owe the other person
A referral is not a neutral act: you bring someone into an activity with financial risk and you receive something for it. The minimum responsibility is to pass on the conditions as they are, without rounding them off, and never to push for a deposit that mainly serves your own reward. And you do not refer anyone you know to be in self-exclusion or who has described difficulty controlling their play. In that situation the offer is not a favour; it is harm with a bonus attached.
