How to deposit: the thirty seconds that set the terms

A deposit takes less time than reading this paragraph, and it locks in four separate things: whether a bonus exists at all, what multiplier applies to it, which route the money will be forced to take on the way back out, and how much the exchange rate costs. None of the four can be renegotiated afterwards. That is the whole reason this page exists.

The sequence

  1. Sign in and open the cashier. Deposits and payouts live in the same panel, which is convenient and also means the exit rules are visible from the start.
  2. Pick a method. The live minimum, the ceiling and any fee appear next to it — these are the binding numbers, not the ones in any guide.
  3. Enter the amount in euro, and the promo code if the offer requires one. The code belongs here, before confirmation, not in a support ticket afterwards.
  4. Approve on the provider’s side: 3-D Secure for a card, the banking app for IRIS, the wallet app, or a signed transfer for crypto.
  5. Open transaction history and compare what was debited with what was credited. That difference is the true cost of the route.

Qualifying amount is not minimum amount

These are two different numbers that happen to live on the same screen. A card might accept 10 €, while the welcome offer starts at 20 €. A 15 € deposit is perfectly valid money and a perfectly invalid qualifier — it credits, it plays, and it generates nothing. The fix is a second, correctly sized deposit, because bonuses are not granted retroactively.

The exclusion list matters just as much. Wallets and prepaid vouchers are the usual names on it, for a simple reason: they are quick to open and harder to tie to one verified identity, which makes offer abuse easier. Nothing about the deposit fails — it simply does not qualify.

Currency: the fee that never appears as a fee

The account currency is chosen once, at registration, and normally cannot be changed. For a player banking in Greece, euro is the cheapest setting because it removes conversion in both directions. When the card or wallet holds another currency, the rate is applied on the way in and again on the way out, with the provider’s margin built into it. It never shows up as a line item — it shows up as a slightly worse rate, which is exactly why it goes unnoticed. If a payment page offers to charge in the card’s home currency instead of euro, that option is almost always the more expensive one.

What cannot be undone

There is no cancel button. Once the provider confirms the charge, the amount is a gaming balance, and the only way back is a normal withdrawal request — subject to verification, minimums and the approval queue. If an offer has been claimed, that same request may also void the bonus and everything won with it, as the wagering rules describe. This is also why the first deposit is a poor place for a large amount: the smallest accepted sum teaches everything about speed and cost with nothing meaningful at stake.

Verification comes later, but plan for it now

Depositing rarely triggers a document check; paying out always does. Before approving a first payout the operator asks for a passport or ID, a recent proof of address, and evidence that the payment method belongs to the same person. The name on the account, the name on the document and the name on the card or IBAN must match. Uploading everything on the day the account is opened costs ten minutes and removes the longest part of the first payout.

Frequently asked questions

The deposit went through but no bonus appeared. What happened?
Almost always one of three things: the amount was below the promotion’s own minimum, the payment method sits on the offer’s exclusion list, or the promo code was not entered before the confirmation screen. All three are evaluated at the moment of the transaction and none of them can be applied afterwards. The money is in the balance; the qualifier is not.
Can a deposit be reversed?
Not the way an online order is cancelled. Once the payment provider confirms the charge, the money is a gaming balance and the only path back is a normal withdrawal request, with the verification, minimum amount and approval time that come with it. If a bonus has been activated in the meantime, that same request may also void the bonus.
Is a small first deposit worth doing?
It is the cheapest test available. A minimum deposit shows how quickly the method credits, whether any fee or conversion is applied, and what the cashier looks like in practice — for the price of a coffee. The one caveat is that a test-sized deposit often falls below a promotion’s qualifying amount, so a bonus should be claimed on a later, deliberate deposit rather than on the trial run.
Does depositing require identity documents?
Usually not. The operator asks for identification before approving the first payout, not before accepting money. Nothing stops a player from uploading everything on the day the account is opened, and that is the single most effective way to shorten the first withdrawal, because it removes one of the two waiting periods entirely.
